Users will be able to create a spreadsheet using the Microsoft Excel program and to upload this file to eClaims for processing. The following instructions provide the technical requirements for submissions in the Simplebatch process and do not set forth the requirements of North American Refractories Company Asbestos Personal Injury Settlement Trust (the "NARCO Asbestos Trust") for statute of limitations or any other purpose. Simplebatch is simply an Excel spreadsheet formatted in such a way that eClaims can recognize the correct fields and extract the data. For this reason you must use the template provided by CRMC to create your spreadsheet. Just creating a spreadsheet with the same column names as the template will not work.You must use the template! Creating a SimplebatchCreating a Batch requires the following steps:
Filling out the template is slightly different depending on the type of claims you are filing. Make sure you select the correct template. ER Claims (Expedited Review)Use the NAR-Simplebatch.xltx template for ER claims. PEL Claims (Pre-established, liquidated)In some rare cases a claimant may need to file a claim that should be classified as a pre-established liquidated claim. If this is the case, please use the NAR-PelClaims-Simplebatch.xslx template. Please see our website for more information about this. IR Claims (Individual Review)The Simplebatch tool is available for new or previously submitted Individual Review claims. However, the information submitted will not appear on the eClaims system until a later date. Documents may be submitted using the box account function.
